Idaho State Veterans Cemetery - Boise

The Stars and Stripes flies in silent vigil 24 hours a day on a magnificent hilltop setting overlooking the Treasure Valley. Set against a backdrop on native grasses and nestled in the Boise foothills of the Rocky Mountains to the north, visitors have a spectacular view of the Owyhee Mountains to the south.

The cemetery is open for public visitation from 8:00 am to sunset, 7 days a week. The Administration Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00pm.

An information kiosk, located adjacent to the public restrooms, contains an electronic grave locator. Various Cemetery forms can also be printed directly from the kiosk.

Memorial Walk, along side Memorial Drive leading to the POW/MIA circle, gives visitors a chance to reflect upon the countless men and women who dedicated their lives to the freedoms we all enjoy. Visitors are also able to view commemorative plaques and benches donated by various service and civic organizations as well as bricks showing support for the interment of indigent veterans. Bricks are available for inscription to individuals, groups and corporations for a donation of $100 per brick.
